1. Turn off Auto Blocker for a moment. Open Settings → Security and privacy → Auto Blocker and switch it off. You can switch it back on once tuned is installed.
2. Type the family password and tap Download tuned. If the browser warns about the file, choose Download anyway.
3. Open the downloaded file, from the download notification or My Files → Downloads.
4. If you see "Install unknown apps", tap Settings, switch on Allow from this source, then go back.
5. Tap Install. If Play Protect warns that it doesn't recognise the app, tap More details → Install anyway.
6. Open tuned, type your name, and tap Ask for access.
7. The app shows a short code. Send it to the family admin. tuned opens by itself once you're approved.
8. When tuned asks, allow notifications, or chat messages won't reach you.

So notifications aren't delayed: open Settings → Battery → Background usage limits and make sure tuned isn't under Sleeping apps or Deep sleeping apps.
